We’re Back and Better Than Ever

As Orlando weddings and events start again after everyone quarantining at home, our John Michael Exquisite Weddings and Catering team is ready to get back to work. 

We’re better than ever as we have enhanced our foodservice practices to follow the current COVID 19 Guidelines to keep our guests and staff safe.

Back In The Office

While we have returned to our offices and are again hosting client meetings, please know that we are happy to continue our virtual and phone sessions. We want to make sure that you are as comfortable as possible.

To maintain physical distancing in our office meetings, we are requesting that clients refrain from bringing any extra guests to their meetings.

Our John Michael Exquisite Weddings and Catering is maintaining a Handshake-Free. Clients will be asked to wash their hands upon arrival, and all of our meeting spaces and surfaces will be sanitized after every meeting.

Standard Practices For Our Staff

A healthy John Michael team means a healthy event for our clients. With that said, we have enhanced all of our standard health and safety practices.

All staff has been required to stay home if they are exhibiting any symptoms of illness, and any staff who arrive at work exhibiting ant symptoms of illness will be sent home. That means we will be testing staff temperatures at the beginning of each shift or event, and staff will be sent home as necessary.

Additionally, all staff is required to wear masks and gloves during preparation as well as at events. The team will be changing gloves between each task, and as always, handwashing is required throughout shifts.

The Day Of Your Event

This might be the area where our new practices are most noticeable for our guests.

We will be continually sanitizing surfaces in both the front and back of the house throughout your event.

During cocktail receptions, butler passed items will look a little different. Your guests will be offered a napkin by a server wearing gloves and mask, they will then place an hors d’oeuvre on that napkin for your guest. This is to eliminate guests from touching service trays and other hors d’oeuvres.

Communal service items that would typically be preset on tables such as water pitchers and salt and pepper shakers will be brought as requested and sanitized after each use. Additionally, no plates, glasses, or vessels will be refilled or reused. 

And lastly, buffet service will be noticeably different. Our John Michael Exquisite Weddings and Catering team will be stationed to serve your guests. This is to eliminate everyone from handling the same service utensils. *Please note that due to the additional service staffing requirements, additional charges may apply.
