Jenna and Sam’s wedding at the Orlando Museum of Art simply had it all! Our team at John Michael Events had the pleasure of both catering and coordinating this special day, and we’re sharing how it all came to life!

Four Carat Diamond Wedding Package:
You’ve got the diamond ring and now it’s time to match you with your Diamond package! Our all-inclusive wedding packages are designed to ease your stress by booking your entire wedding at once. We offer three different versions of the Diamond package, ranging from One Carat to Four Carats to 7 Carats.
The One Carat option is for you, if you’re looking for a simple yet sweet wedding ceremony only with your closest loved ones. Perfect for elopements!
On the other hand, the Seven Carat option is the most comprehensive package for couples who are ready to have it all, from all the wedding essentials to multiple enhancements!
Jenna and Sam’s perfect Diamond package was the Four Carat package, which included all the vendors and services they would need for their 100 person, black and white wedding.
No matter which package is right for you, you can make it your own through special customization options! For Jenna and Sam, this meant removing the cake and minister elements from their package since they knew they wanted to source these on their own. Whether you’re removing or adding elements, you can tailor your package to your exact needs!
Outdoor Ceremony at Orlando Museum of Art:
Through the planning, our team of Event Managers worked with Jenna and Sam to curate their black and white wedding design and logistics. We liaised with each of the vendors included in their Four Carat Diamond Package to do this, and we just loved seeing it all come to fruition on their big day!
The festivities began with Jenna and Sam’s outdoor ceremony. This took place in the courtyard with gorgeous palm trees in the background and the adjacent museum building looking grand and stately. The florist set up two gold pillars at the altar, both with elegant white floral arrangements. These complemented the couple’s black and white wedding palette perfectly, creating a contemporary yet classic vibe.
It was here that Jenna and Sam exchanged vows, rings, and their first married kiss!
Catering a Contemporary Cocktail Hour:
On your wedding day, our team serves as your behind-the-scenes dream team as we work hard to execute all our well-laid plans. While you’re getting ready for the ceremony, we’re the ones who set up your reception tables and chairs, decorate each place setting, arrange the food tables and bar, and ensure every detail is in place. Similarly, while you’re capturing photos during cocktail hour, our team is the one who wines and dines your guests and kicks off the celebration!
For Jenna and Sam’s black and white wedding, we served hors d’ouevres consisting of:
- Meatballs served w marinara, pomerey mustard and bourbon sauces
- Spinach Dip atop Baguette
- Bacon Wrapped Date with Almond
We always strive to go above and beyond for our couples too! This means that we serve you appetizers and drinks in between your family and newlywed portraits, so you don’t miss a thing! We know how hectic your wedding day can get with all the pictures and people to greet, so it’s our pleasure to ensure that you’re fed, hydrated, and happy!
Black and White Wedding Reception:
Jenna and Sam’s black and white wedding reception was a dream! The rotunda inside the museum featured floor-to-ceiling glass windows and market lighting, creating a sophisticated and upscale environment for the day. Each reception table had black linens and a fluffy white floral centerpiece. The contrast between the colors is why a black and white wedding color palette will never go out of style!
After Jenna and Sam’s grand entrance and first dance, they sat down at their sweetheart table for the toasts. We had repurposed the ceremony floral arrangements to frame their table and white pipe and drape made up the backdrop. This truly was the best seat in the house!
Then, it was time for dinner! That evening, everyone enjoyed a plated meal that included:
- Roquefort Pear Salad
- Choice of Rosemary Lemon Chicken or Sirloin Steak
- Roasted Balsamic Bacon Brussel Sprouts
- Garlic Mashed Potatoes
As wedding caterers, we are always mindful of dietary restrictions and make sure to help you plan well for this factor during the planning process. We typically have at least vegetarian option on a wedding menu and if there are any guests who have other, specific dietary restrictions, we make them special plates on the day of!
At Jenna and Sam’s reception, the vegetarian option was cheese ravioli with sun-dried tomatoes and an herb cream sauce. We also made a special vegan plate as well that consisted of a tempeh steak with chipotle lime quinoa marinara and sauteed vegetables.
It’s our mission to make everyone happy with food, no matter what their dietary restrictions or preferences are!
In lieu of a traditional wedding cake, Jenna and Sam opted to have a dessert table instead! We set this up for their guests after dinner, and these petit fours made the perfect sweet snack for everyone to dance the night away!
