We cannot help but gush when we talk about Monica and Karen’s wedding.
This sweet couple hosted their wedding at the beautiful Tavares Pavilion on the Lake. Sitting on Lake Dora it has a scenic pier with gas lanterns. Inside it offers breathtaking waterfront views and an amazing winding staircase.
Monica and Karen booked John Michael Exquisite Weddings and Catering’s 4 Carat Diamond Package. Working with some of central Florida’s best wedding professionals and including Day of Coordination with our own amazing Director of Sales, Charlene Arroyo, we were able to create the perfect team.
The ladies took full advantage of the Pavilion’s two ready rooms which gave them each time to get ready with their wedding parties. Then had their first look on the top landing of the staircase and the floor to ceiling windows and views of the lake made for wonderful photos.
The couple exchanged their wedding vows in a very personal wedding ceremony that included family and friends, live music, a sand ceremony, and the Sacrament of Holy Communion.
Upstairs in the reception space the room was decorated in shades of purple. The wooden tables were decorated with black metal lanterns and fresh flowers. The square dinner plates and lavender napkins added a pop of color and texture.
One of our favorite details were the table names; each table was named after a spice or seasoning which tied into their fun wedding favors. A table filled with customized spice packets and a sign reading “Live Life With A Little Spice”.
Their simple but elegant sweetheart table was set against the sweeping views of the lake. The three tiered, white, square wedding cake with purple scrolling piping was another focal point of the room.
Guests enjoyed a presentation of Gourmet Cheeses, Fruits and Spreads as well as butler passed hors d’oeuvres including: Italian Meatballs, Roasted Tomato Bruschetta and Spanakopita.
The buffet reception that followed included a menu selected by the brides that included Country French Salad, Cajun Chicken with Fresh Salsa, Cheese Ravioli with Sundried Tomato Cream Sauce, our incredible Mashed Potato Bar with nearly a dozen toppings, Honey Glazed Carrots with Basil and Pine Nuts, freshly baked rolls and Chef Carved Pork Tenderloin with Bourbon Caramelized Onions. YUM!
After a delicious dinner everyone danced the night away and shared their love and well wishes with these two amazing women.
