All-Inclusive Wedding Package with John Michael Events:
Vanessa and Al had a gorgeous purple wedding at Lake Mary Event Center. Their day was stunning with its royal purple wedding details, timeless ivory florals, and breathtaking lakeside views. It was perfect for them as a couple! But how did they pull it off?

When you work with us, we assign you a dedicated Event Manager to serve as your primary point of contact for your entire vendor team. Instead of liaising with each vendor individually, you can simply lean on your Event Manager!

Indoor Purple Wedding Ceremony:
On the day of Vanessa and Al’s purple wedding at Lake Mary Event Center, our team took care of much of the wedding setup. This included setting up all the tables, chairs, linens, buffet lines, and bar. We set bamboo chafers for the buffet and decorated the lines with votive candles and custom menu signs.
We also carefully crafted each place setting at the reception tables with glassware, stainless steel flatware, and purple wedding napkins in a tent fold. Then, Lee Forrest installed purple wedding floral centerpieces on each table, creating the perfect reception tablescape!
Since our team handled the catering and day-of coordination, Vanessa and Al simply got to relax and enjoy their morning getting ready. They spent time with their family and wedding party with the peace of mind that we were perfectly executing their purple wedding vision.
When it was time to get married, our Event Manager, Giselle, lined up the wedding party, cued the music, and kicked off the processional. We love this venue’s floor-to-ceiling glass windows in their ceremony space called the Rotunda! The natural light and stunning lake views make an awe-inspiring place to tie the knot.
Cocktail Hour at Lake Mary Event Center:
After Vanessa and Al officially became husband and wife, their cocktail hour began on the Veranda. Our team began butler passing hors d’oeuvres, including
- Sweet Pear & Bacon Bruschetta
- Boursin Cheese Stuffed Mushrooms
- Beef & Blues
Guests enjoyed these bites while indulging in the couple’s full liquor bar. All the while, the newlyweds got to capture portraits with their family and wedding party with the reassurance that we were taking good care of the rest of their guests.
A Purple Wedding Reception:
As cocktail hour wound down, our team put the finishing touches on this purple wedding reception! Some of our final to-do list items before inviting guests into the reception is ensuring every candle is lit, every water glass is filled, and the lighting is atmospheric.
The evening kicked off with grand entrances followed by our team’s main event: dinner! Vanessa and Al selected a delicious buffet menu, including:
- Watermelon Salad
- Chicken Marsala
- White Truffle Bacon Mac & Cheese
- Sweet Potato Casserole
- Rosemary Shallot Potatoes
- Assorted Rolls
They also added on a Chef carved beef brisket station! An action food station like this is a wonderful enhancement to your wedding menu. It provides another protein option for your guests and adds to the ambiance by having one of our professional Chefs cut and serve the meat right in front of the guests! This extra special touch truly elevates the dining experience for everyone.

Later that night, the newlyweds cut their purple wedding cake. Provided by Scotchie’s Custom Cakes, this was a four-tier ivory wedding cake with cascading purple wedding flowers and greenery. Everyone enjoyed the different flavors, from classic vanilla to strawberry to almond.
Then, Vanessa, Al, and all their friends and family hit the dance floor for the rest of the evening! They had a blast celebrating together, knowing they had their perfect purple wedding day. It was a night to remember and we are so glad we got to be a part of it all!
